About Thurza

My medium is mostly acrylic because of its versatility although, I do sometimes use oil and water colour.

As a member of the Staffordshire Artist Society I have exhibited in most of the Open Art Exhibitions in and around Staffordshire.

For as long as I can remember...

I have been interested in art. Newly retired, I now have time to dedicate most days to working in my studio building up work for exhibitions. I also run groups as well as giving one to one tuition.

I have developed what I believe is my own style which is greatly influenced by early impressionism. I paint mostly from my photographs and imagination and of course when weather permits I like to paint or sketch outside.

I'm facinated by the never ending changes of light and colour in the landscape. Mainly self-taught, my artistic skills have been gained by experimenting and studying the work of the early impressionists.
